Hell's Kitchen Farm Project is on a mission to create a more food secure neighborhood. The project began as a conversation between four community organizations about the scarcity of fresh produce in Hell's Kitchen. Once the roof of Metro Baptist Church was identified as a potential growing space, plans began for the creation of a farm. All produce from HKFP goes directly to a weekly food pantry in the same building and organized through Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries. Now in its third growing season, the farm has expanded to incorporate an educational program as part of RMM's after school program. HKFP also serves as an educational tool and model for neighborhood schools and community groups.
