Subject: Welcome to the Fletcher Progressive Initiative (FPI)
Description:
Welcome to the Fletcher Progressive Initiative E-List!The Fletcher Progressive Initiative (FPI) seeks to create spaces at the Fletcher School for defining the blueprint for progressive foreign policy. In 1933, Professor James T. Shotwell delivered the Fletcher School’s opening address stating “instead of international anarchy there should be international cooperation; instead of the arbitrament of arms, agreement by conference and judgement by a court; instead of the strategy of war, the strategy of peace.” Through capacity-building, discussions, and events, FPI seeks to uphold these values by bridging politics and policy towards advancing progressive ideas in a globalized environment. Together with colleagues in the Fletcher community and beyond, FPI
works to equip future progressive leaders with the organization, tools, and network for working in the international arena.
