Subject: Tufts CIVIC

Description: Cooperation and Innovation in Citizenship (CIVIC) is a discussion-based undergraduate group at Tufts University that seeks to provide a forum for open political discourse on campus by allowing students to freely express opinions from across the political spectrum. CIVIC’s weekly discussions on topics relevant to politics and current events foster an environment where students learn to engage and discuss views different from their own. By holding regular meetings and inviting distinguished speakers from both sides of the aisle, CIVIC consistently challenges students to broaden their horizons and respect disagreement from their peers both at Tufts and beyond.

CIVIC also enjoys support and partnership from the Tisch College for Citizenship and Public Service, which gives us access to speakers and events centered around active citizenship and community involvement.
